<title>ELMOS: BLDC motor controller with sensorless commutation method</title>
			<link>http://www.elmos.de/no_cache/englisch/press/press-news/breaking-news/article//422.html</link>
<description>E981.15: detection of rotor position from standstill to maximum motor speed

Dortmund: ELMOS introduces the BLDC motor controller E981.15. Assisted by a special process (VirtuHall®), the standard product E981.15 controls a BLDC/PMSM motor without additional external sensors. Under any potential operating conditions, from standstill to maximum motor speed, this sensorless commutation method utilizes the same motor characteristics for the detection of the rotor position. Thus switching between different detection methods is avoided and the risk of position loss and incorrect commutation is eliminated. The E981.15 includes controller and driver for the control of 6 N-channel power FETs with PWM frequencies of between 20 kHz and 60kHz and provides a great amount of error and diagnostic features.

			<title>Sensorless DC motor controller E910.71</title>
			<link>http://www.elmos.de/no_cache/englisch/press/press-news/breaking-news/article//420.html</link>
			<description>Samples and series products available

Dortmund: With the E910.71, ELMOS presents an ASSP for the control of 3 to 5 DC motors. The IC uses a so-called “pulse detection” method, which facilitates the sensorless position detection of an actuator driven by a DC motor. Due to the multiple analysis of the motor commutation modulated current signal, the chip has an outstanding accuracy regarding actuator positioning. By the use of a configuration register, pulse detection can be adjusted to different motor types.

			<title>E909.06 – the user’s imagination sets the limit </title>
			<link>http://www.elmos.de/no_cache/englisch/press/press-news/breaking-news/article//412.html</link>
<description>ELMOS chip recognizes touch, approximation, and gesture

Dortmund, 31 May, 2010: With the new and innovative ASSP E909.06, ELMOS presents a sensor system working on an optical and capacitive basis at the same time. Both systems can be used simultaneously and can exchange information among each other. It is therefore possible to combine the known advantages of a capacitive switch with a touchless recognition of gesture provided by optical sensorics. Even low-end SMD infrared LEDs facilitate a range of up to 30 centimeters.

			<title>ELMOS: Positive outlook for 2010</title>
			<link>http://www.elmos.de/no_cache/englisch/press/press-news/breaking-news/article//405.html</link>
<description>Increase in sales of more than 15% expected

Dortmund: ELMOS Semiconductor AG (FSE: ELG) achieved sales of 123.8 million Euro in past fiscal year 2009 (2008: 175.1 million Euro). The gross profit went down to 35.9 million Euro (2008: 75.6 million Euro), the gross margin came to 29.0% (2008: 43.2%). Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) dropped to -15.8 million Euro (2008: 16.5 million Euro). The group’s net loss was -12.2 million Euro (2008: net income of 10.6 million Euro). The decrease in sales and earnings is due to the global economic and automotive crisis. Based on a group-wide bundle of cost saving measures worth roughly 15 million Euro, an even greater reduction of earnings could be prevented.

			<title>ELMOS: IO-Link transceiver ready for series production</title>
			<link>http://www.elmos.de/no_cache/englisch/press/press-news/breaking-news/article//397.html</link>
<description>Semiconductor for intelligent industry networks – EMC test and qualification successfully passed

Dortmund: ELMOS Semiconductor AG has started the series production of the IO-Link transceiver E981.10. <title>ELMOS shows strong upswing in 2nd half-year 2009</title>
			<link>http://www.elmos.de/no_cache/englisch/press/press-news/breaking-news/article//401.html</link>
<description>4th quarter 2009 with clearly positive earnings

Dortmund: ELMOS Semiconductor AG (FSE: ELG) achieved sales of 123.8 million Euro in past fiscal year 2009 (2008: 175.1 million Euro), according to preliminary figures. The reason for the sales decline compared to 2008 is the worldwide crisis. Due to a comprehensive package of cost-cutting measures of roughly 15 million Euro, the reduction of earnings was disproportionately low in relation to the decrease in sales. The gross profit amounted to 35.9 million Euro (2008: 75.6 million Euro) and the gross margin thus came to 29.0% (2008: 43.2%). Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) were negative, at -15.8 million Euro (2008: 16.5 million Euro). </description>
